"Come Hear My Voice"

Come Hear My Voice

(Music Lyrics by Ann Timmons)

Come hear My Voice,

I have called you by name.

Come follow Me,

and walk in My Path.

Enter through Me;

I alone am the Gate.

I am the Way,

I am the Truth,

I am the Life.

Description of the Retreat Weekend

The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola outline the Catholic Church's classic means of orienting one's soul toward God and eternal salvation. The Spiritual Exercises are designed to make a person stop and examine the direction his life is taking and to seriously direct himself toward Heaven

Retreat director, Fr. Xavier Ray says, “The retreat is strictly Catholic and very faithful to Rome, the Pope, and what the Catholic Church has always believed throughout the centuries.”

4 to 5 spiritual talks on the Spiritual Exercises will be given by the priest each day with time for personal meditation in silence afterward.

Holy Mass is celebrated daily

Holy Rosary is prayed daily

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction with the Blessed Sacrament

Personal conference time or spiritual direction will be available with the priest

Opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation or Confession

Regarding reception of the Sacrament of Holy Communion during Holy Mass:
Please understand that according to the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, receiving Holy Communion is linked with being in communion with the Pope and pastors of the Catholic Church. Those who receive Holy Communion at a Catholic Mass not only receive the Body and Blood of the Lord and who are in unity with the pastors of the Catholic Church.

Meals are taken in silence. We listen to Gregorian chant or about the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola

Retreat folders will be distributed to each retreatant which includes notes on the spiritual talks. Please bring a pen or pencil to take notes.

People may borrow a copy of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola book or purchase one at the retreat.

Other Catholic books and items will be available for purchase

Miles Christi Website

Miles Christi is a Religious Order formed of Priests and Brothers. We are resolved above all, to fervently pursue sanctity with the grace of God and for His greater glory, dedicating ourselves to the sanctification of the laity, particularly of college students."This Religious Order wishes its ranks to be formed only of a select group of men of great heart, generous, deeply moved by the magnanimity of Christ, indignant at the indifference with which many respond to His love, with an ardent love for Calvary, and eager to serve" (Constitutions 12). "A horror for a mediocre, useless, and empty life is deeply rooted in every true miles Christi, who, looking at his Lord on the Cross, asks himself, `What have I done for Christ, what am I doing for Christ, what must I do for Christ?´" (Const. 11).
